With a short ceremony we have commemorated the beginning of construction work of our first investor – company Fas logistika. Fas logistika Ltd. is the first Croatian company member of the WPA organization (Worldwide Partners Alliance), which, through its members, operates in 213 cities of 88 countries and guarantees the safety of international business in terms of organization, as well as financial issues. The beginning of construction work coincided with World Green Building Week so we took this opportunity to further emphasize the importance of sustainable growth by planting 70 planetrees.
The ceremony was organized in association with Croatian Green Building Council, Austrian Foreign Trade Office in Croatia and the City of Velika Gorica. Guests were welcomed by the Major of the City of Velika Gorica, Dražen Barišić, director of the Austrian Foreign Trade Office in Croatia, Sonja Holocher-Ertl, and by Petra Škevin from Croatian Green Building Council.
Meridian 16 Business Park received its first investor, a Velika Gorica company Fas logistika Ltd. On a type S plot they will build a warehouse and an office building. The project has already obtained a building permit and construction is to begin by the end of this year. The project is expected to be realized mid next year. The logistic solutions that Fas logistika is offering are in line with the latest standards in logistics and have, in a very short period of time, become a synonym for quick and effective transport solutions. The decision for this investment by Fas logistika was made in order to meet the needs of their business expansion and to make their road, ship, and air transport of goods, and storage services more efficient and up-to-date.
Meridian 16 Business Park was a host of the 14th National Ploughing Championship and the 5th National Horse Ploughing Championship. The Championships were held under the auspices of the President of the Republic Croatia, Mrs. Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović. Business fair with more than 50 exhibitors from Croatia, exhibition of agricultural machinery accompanied with variety of gastronomy and entertainment program took place during the event.
Two day event visited couple thousand people from Velika Gorica and other parts of Croatia.
The Championship was organized by Croatia Association for the Organization of Ploughing Contests, City of Velika Gorica and Meridian 16 Business Park.

Ms. Ivana Bakunić, CEO of Meridian 16 Business Park was participating on the panel Changes and challenges on logistic property market in Croatia, held as a part of the twelfth Annual International Conference on Real Estate Development organized by Filipović Business Advisory, together with 90 other lectures on 18 interesting panel discussions that attracted more than 430 participants.
Ms. Bakunić was presenting location of our business zone that has excellent global and local connectivity. Another important element for the development of the business zone is good cooperation with the local authorities and their readiness to accept such project where we have a great support from City of Velika Gorica. Beside “big players” we as well expect that small businesses and craftsman will recognize the benefit and cost-effectiveness of transferring their business ventures to our zone, said Ms. Bakunić.
We have participated on the twelfth Annual International Conference on Real Estate Development, organized by Filipović Business Advisory. On the Conference, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the European Regional Network of the World Green Building Council have signed a Memorandum of Understanding in which they agree to work together in support of sustainable property development with a special emphasis on energy and resource efficiency as well as reduction of carbon emissions.
Mr. Teichmann was participating on the panel Re-Bazaar: New momentum in the investment cycle in Croatia where he presented the development process of our business zone starting from the idea up to the present day.
